If you look at the constitutions of the explosive athletes you will notice large amounts of muscle mass. This holds true for weightlifters, sprinters, throwers, fighters, etc.

While heavy strength training plays an important role in the development of these athletes' muscles, not the only type of training they do. They also do a lot of explosive training. This is also sometimes referred to the speed-strength, power or plyometric training.

It's called, this type of training really hits the fast-twitch muscle. These fibers have the greatest potential for strength and muscle growth so it is important that they are adequately stimulated.

Here are 3 groups of exercises you can use for quick hits twitch muscle fibers growing again!

Jumps

A variety of jumps you can use. From the basic jumps and long vertical and progressing by leaps and bounds over hurdles or up the stadium steps. You can even add additional burden to the jumps in the form of a bar in the back or the weight in your hands. All these variations have their own complexities and develop energy in different ways. But if you're just shock the muscles with something new, then just choose any exercise and try a few sets. No forget things like clap push-ups as a superior body "jump" variation!

Sprints

Sprint is a great full body exercise and I think anyone who dares to call themselves an athlete must be able to either Sprint. All the athletes I work with, including swimmers and hockey players, is Sprint, at some point during the year. This exercise not only taxes your lower body but also the abdominals, lower back and waist scapular! Just look at the shoulder and trapezius development in an Olympic sprinter.

If you have not raced in a while, then it is important to facilitate he. Do not go right in a sprint or put all your body in Risk of unnecessary injury. Start with short distances (less than 20 meters) and runs at 60% the speed of the first week, 75% the second week, and 90% in the third week. If it feels good after that you can try an all out sprint, but only after a wide warming.

Lanza

Launches can be done with a variety of implements. I find medicine balls are one of the most versatile of objects, but you can use an old plate or dumbbell, or even a ball making your own medicine for a fill-old basketball arena. Try a mixture of releases to stimulate the upper and lower body. Chest passes, football throws, shot put, and pulls back basic throws are great to begin with.

Give one or more of these explosive exercises a try in your next workout. Not only to activate fast-twitch muscle, but you'll also get a little of variety in your routine and have the opportunity to workout outside.

Explosives Training is one of the crucial steps to muscle growth not only looks good but performs at a high level. Remember, if you want to look like an athlete then you need to train like one!
