Ab Workouts? How long after you see the results?

I say this because I joined a gym about 3 months and began working at 3 times a week. I do my obliques, upper abs and lower abs. Variations use: ball side to side Obliques-bicycle/weight crisis, upper lower Vsit abs-ups, regular crunches, back crunches. I went from 50reps4 sets 20rep4 sets. I have seens a result, when I make a muscle as I can see as my abs hard but other than that I do not see the results. Am I doing something wrong? Why did not you tell? In case you are wondering how the body of the quantity I'm fat, not so mych Coz I'm 5'2 "and 98-max 100 pounds depending on the season. I am very thin and you can not lose weight. I do cardio, but only for 20 minutes. I run about 2 miles in that time frame. I heard that after 20 minutes to start burning fat. Thats is something I want to do if I'm as skinny as me? I really do not want to lose weight, I'm trying to gain muscle weight: (

I did ab work outs 3 times a week and it took about 6 weeks to notice a change.
